Hi Rick,

Like I mentioned before, our trip to your Lodge was a fantastic experience. Especially the trip up the shallow creek where we caught all those beautiful rainbows. Without a doubt, it was the best fishing day of my entire life. How much better can it get? Catching all those fish and eating hot dogs cooked over a fire on the edge of the river. An experience that is etched in my mind forever.

You and your associates did everything you promised. Good accommodations, great food and a fantastic fishing experience. The only complaint I have is the trip ruined my California fishing. Never will I catch fish here in Sacramento like I caught in Alaska.

Staying at Kokwok Lodge was an awesome exprience. Like staying with family. Truly it was the Alaskan Adventure. Rick not only delivered what he promised he execeeded it! It was a fly fishermen's paradise. I talked to other fly fishermen who went to more expensive lodges- they didn't catch as many fish and paid more. Rick knew right where to put us on the Nushagak River as well as smaller creeks nearby. I caught more fish in 1 week than in my whole life. Nelda's cooking was execellent and the cabins were very clean and comfortable. Not only is Kokwok Lodge the place to be, its the place to come back to, again and again.

When I stayed at Kokwok Lodge fishing was great. Host Rick and Nelda made sure I had a great time and everything I needed. The best part of the trip was being able to do what I wanted when I wanted I slept in until 9:30am and started fishing at 10:30am. Which really felt good then I got up and caught a bunch of kings. Like many in the Lower 48, I grew up dreaming about the wild country of Alaska. Flipping through dad’s copy of Outdoor Life and Fly fisherman, I visualized myself swept away to the land of giant bears, big rivers, and wild salmon. I spent many hours and made multiple phone calls in my search of the best operation to meet this dream, ultimately ending with Rick and Nelda Murphy and Chip Ryan on the Nushagak. I am very pleased to report that dreams do come true!!! I could not have hoped for a better experience than that provided by the group. Outstanding facility, highly professional (and personable!) staff, great gear, and top notch meals are just the beginning. The only crowds you will see are the numerous eagles jocking for position on the gravel bars waiting for their next salmon dinner. And the fishing.....incredible!!!! Several 100+ fish days. One day, one fly...over 100 silvers on my fly rod!!! Smoking hot, chrome bright, and ready to fight, the silvers are amazing. And then there are the rainbows, grayling, and char. You will not find a better opportunity to make your Alaska dreams come true than Nushagak River Fishing Lodge. I know I am already dreaming of my next trip; I can't wait!!
